10 feet ceiling curtain length
The length of the curtain panels depends on the height of the ceiling. If you have a 10 feet ceiling, you’ll need to get curtains that are at least 12 feet long or longer. Curtains should always be at least 6 inches off the ground to avoid looking sparse and unfinished.
Curtains usually break on the ground because they shrink a little when dry-cleaned or washed. Lined & Interlined Draperies are designed to last 20 years or more, which means this is a common issue.
Curtain style is rather personal on what you like, but I’m more of a purist when it comes to curtains. My preference is for curtains that are feminine, sleek, and elegant. That would work if I hung the rod above the window and let the curtains slip onto or into it by about four inches.
The standard length is 10′. However, that can be custom-made to any size if needed. The track and ball hangers add 1″ to the total length, making it 10’1″.
The 95″ carpet finish ending a couple of inches off the floor not only looks strange but looks like an accident! You want your curtains to hang within 1/4″ to 1/2″ of the foot and no more than 6-8″ above the floor. This way, there is enough fabric dragging on the floor to give a cozy puddle of cloth resting on the ground.
We sell crown molding. If you want to buy some before hanging your draperies, around 3 inches should be enough space between the rod and the molding. 9 feet ceiling curtain length
Our bedroom has a lovely 9ft high and 6ft wide arched window. It has shears and drapery if we need to cover it up in winter. These drapes are too big for the window, and you will need middle support to hang them.

Blackout curtains
I have an HT space in the loft. There is an opening down to the foyer on the right side, which brings in a lot of light during the day. I have installed a ceiling track to put on some blackout curtains to counter this.
Then I was wondering what curtains to buy which won’t break the bank. I would need 10 meters of length, and the height can be around 3 meters. And in inches, it will be 393 inches.
Ikea sells blackout curtains, but it appears to be only in 98″. The one I have, along with a pinch pleat curtain, should block max light. You can hang the blackout curtains to those small rings on your ceiling track.
If you are looking for 100% blackout curtains, go for custom-made to measure curtains. They will take the measurements and bring the catalogs to choose your curtains home. I think 2″ to 3″ below the ceiling or crown molding is perfect!
Interior designers share their favorite blackout curtains for budget-friendly window dressings. Be sure to measure 12 to 24 inches beyond both sides of the window so you can use two panels that are the height of the window – this way. It’ll look just as good as curtains that would cost you more money.
You can achieve a more formal look by adding an extra 1.5 inches to the length of the drape. The most dramatic effect is when they “puddle” on the floor.
A sheer curtain is an excellent choice if you want a little bit of everything from your window treatments. It allows natural light into a space and helps brighten up dark rooms.
Curtain panels family width and height
Curtain wall panels are versatile in window treatments. You can manually create the size of your board by inputting the height and width parameters. Check the box under type for ‘Reporting’ to automatically have the height and width inputted.
You can create any dimension that you need. To extract that information, use the shared parameter. If you want that parameter to be editable, use the shared parameter.
The reference points for height and width are the reference lines. You’re just attaching to those. There’s no actual number you can work with for this project.
The panel type name is the only way to identify these parameters. In addition to the increased ceiling height, the builder also increased windows by 1 foot.
It’s not simpler to divide the ceiling area (in a schedule of ceilings) and divide it by the site.
In the family of curtain panels, I’ll add a nested element that must be scheduled. This approach will always produce errors in those non-rectangular, left-over pieces of the ceilings. Revit (or any other software) cannot easily change your rectangular family to be triangular or trapezoidal.
